The Coalition co-signed the “COP28 Joint Statement on Climate, Nature and People”

At COP28, the SIDS Coalition for Nature co-signed the “#cop28 Joint Statement on Climate, Nature and People” on December 9th. The statement is available here.

This Joint Statement aims to drive joint climate-nature action planning, financing, implementation and monitoring.

The Joint Statement’s objectives are explicitly captured in the “SIDS’ Integrated Nature-Climate Action Roadmap” the SIDS Coalition for Nature released the same day at Ministerial level at #COP28. The Roadmap is available here.

Potentially, this strategic alignment will further connects COP28 follow-up to a.o. SIDS Roadmap implementation support in 2024+
